Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how TeacherLAB uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and apps. For details on how we process personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device that store information about your visit. We also use similar technologies like web beacons, pixels, local storage, and SDKs.
How we use cookies
Strictly necessary (required): enable core features such as authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be switched off.
Performance/analytics: help us understand usage (e.g., page views, feature adoption) so we can improve the Service.
Functional: remember choices (e.g., language, preferences).
Advertising/targeting: deliver or measure ads and limit repeats. We only use these with your consent where required.
Your choices
On your first visit you’ll see our cookie banner. You can choose to Accept all, Reject non‑essential, or Manage preferences by category. We only set non‑essential cookies (analytics, advertising, embedded media) after you opt in.
Change your mind anytime: Open Cookie Settings from the footer to update your choices.
How long we remember your choice: We store your consent selection for 12 months (or until you clear cookies), then we’ll ask again or sooner if our categories change.
EEA/UK: Non‑essential cookies run only with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time; essential cookies will still run so the site works.
California (CPRA): Use the Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information link in the footer to opt out of sharing for cross‑context behavioral advertising. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals (see Section 5).
Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some features (like sign‑in or payments) may not work without essential cookies.
Cookies we use - in plain English
We use a handful of cookies to make TeacherLAB work well and to improve it over time. Here’s what they do, without the jargon:
Essential (always on): Keep you signed in, remember your cookie choices, keep the site secure, and let checkout work. This includes tools like our session cookie, our consent cookie, Stripe (to process payments and prevent fraud), Cloudflare (to keep the site fast and protect against bots), and Google reCAPTCHA (to stop automated sign‑ups and spam).
Analytics (you can turn these off): Help us understand what’s working so we can make the site better—things like which pages are popular and which features are confusing. We use Google Analytics 4 and Hotjar for this. We look at totals and trends, not your private content.
Functional (you control these): Make your experience smoother—for example remembering your language preference or a “remember me” sign‑in if you choose it.
Advertising (only if you say yes): If we run campaigns to reach more educators, we may use Meta or Google advertising cookies to measure what’s effective and avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly. These only run with your consent where required.
Video players (only when you press play): If you watch an embedded video (e.g., YouTube or Vimeo), they may set their own cookies so the player works properly.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Where legally required, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt‑out of sharing for cross‑context behavioral advertising.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices. Revisit this page periodically.
